One Maple Bear program pillar is English language immersion. The students do not learn English through language classes, but English is (besides Portuguese) the main teaching language of the program.
Immersion is considered the most natural way to learn a language. Canada is a world leader in this style of education and was the first country that introduced an immersion program in the 1960s.
At Maple Bear, the distribution between English and Portuguese depends on the students age. While Early Childhood is 100% in English (except for the last year when 25% Portuguese is introduced), Elementary and High School are 50% English / 50% Portuguese.
So, what are the advantages of a bilingual school education?

- Studies in Brazil show that professionals with advanced English skills can earn up to 60% more than professionals without English skills, depending on the position.
